T O P I C R E V I E Wbansheequeen Venusincap89I strongly believe in astrology and if it went beyond the sun signs, I would use it I think most common mistake in dating world is that both males and females throw gold into the sinking ships, as in people ignore red flags for the sake of temporary emotional satisfaction or to simply get the taste of what they can't have (And I myself have done this too, but the only reason I think this is the case is because, once I started considering or sometimes fully taking people's advice, I performed significantly better in relationships)I personally believe Astrology can help a lot in that area, the self-awareness department. But unfortunately, I also can't imagine apps like this doing too well, in a sense that I think it would not be able to net enough users... (Especially since most dating sites or apps heavily emphasize the number of users)Self-awareness is almost like taboo these days and astrology turns off many many peopleKannon McAfeeI wouldn't use it since I'm already married, but if I weren't -- I still wouldn't. Anything new that is tech-dependent is not worth it. You have to wait past early versions IF the company is serious about working out all the bugs. Very doubtful it will make that much difference for most subscribers, but I'm sure they will sell it with lots of advertising and polish. I'm looking up Annabel Gat who is the consultant for the actual astrology these two ladies are relying on. The reason I say very doubtful is that most astrologers are not using declinations and this can change the compatibility picture a lot. Not only that, but some people are actually just not ready for a healthy relationship, because they are not healthy or other reasons. So no matter how good a match they get, it still won't work out.You can make up your own mind about Annabel Gat's approach to astrology as she has articles relating to celebrities at rootastro.com ... Plus she consults for MTV under the name "Licorice Root."Looking at a sample of her work from July of last year when she did a write up on Selena Gomez ... "Will Selena Gomez Find Love At 22? We Asked A Psychic" ... I think she oversteps in specifying particular celebrities she thinks would match well with her based on Sun/Moon alone. She recommends Taylor Lautner for her, in spite of his Moon conjunct her Mars, his Saturn opp her Venus and contra-parallel her Venus-Mars, his Moon contra-parallel her Uranus-Neptune, his Sun-Mercury square her Pluto. I doubt she knows what a parallel or contra-parallel is. Its hard to know based on an article like this, but her astrology comes off as superficial, lacking in-depth knowledge. You just cannot program effectively using that level of know-how. Or I guess... Do you like the idea of prescreening your dates using astrology compatibility? What are your placements that you feel are relevant?

Hmm
This:
"Co-Founders and Co-Leos"
Clever.
And while I do like the idea of pre-screening a date
based on astrological compatibility, that's something
I would rather do for myself.
There are some placements I already KNOW won't work,
because I've dated them more than once-- but based on
surface-y astrology, we're 'compatible.'
I don't want to do that again.
That's an interesting thing about learning astrology..
you discover your own patterns, so you can AVOID the
mistakes, next time
